THE XCITE STREET DANCE
COMPETITION EXPERIENCE

XCITE Street provides a high-quality Street Dance event which bridges the gap between traditional dance school training providers
and street dance training providers. It provides street dancers the opportunity to perform on theatre stages,
showcasing their own choreography as well as battling it out on the floor to become the XCITE Dance Freestyle winner.

XCITE events are centered on professionalism, trust and value for money, but also on fun. You can rely on us to create a memorable event which provides numerous opportunities for dancers to perform, develop and grow in a fun and supportive environment.

DANCE TEACHERS

You can expect...

a smoothly-run event, with easy administration via our online system, which lets you concentrate on preparing and watching your students' performance;
fair independent judging with valuable video & audio feedback for showcase routines, helping your dancers future development; and

3 different opporutinites to perform and learn, all within the same event

HOW IT WORKS

Dancers will freestyle to a different piece of music each round, played by a resident Street DJ

Each Age Division and Level will have an Arena event for solos, and duos.

There will be up to 8 Arena events.

The number of initial rounds will depend upon the number of entries, there will always be a minimum if 3 initial rounds, with elimination of performers until 4 dancers remain to progress through to the Semi Finals

The Semi-Final match up will be determined via a random draw

THE SHOWCASE

Dancers will perform their own choregraphed routine in front of the judges and will all receive video and audio feedback from all 3 judges as well as a performance video of their routine

Routines will be scored by each judge on each of the following 5 categories:

Foundations
Execution
Musicality
Formation & Transitions
Overall Performance

Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each age division and each level.

GROOVE INTENSIVE

Included in the entry fee per dancer is inclusion in the XCITE Groove Intensive. This providers performers with the opportunity learn from a professional street dancer who brings extensive experience in teaching core foundational skills

The XCITE Groove Intensive will cater for all levels, Beginner and Experienced, and will take place at a scheduled time in the day to allow all competitors the opportunity to take part. The number of Groove Intensive slots will depend upon the number of entries.

LEVELS

We have 2 levels of competitors:

Beginner - for competitors who are new to the style or have limited competition experience. This category is designed to provide a fair and supportive environment for first-time and developing competitors.

Experienced - for competitors who have progressed beyond the beginner level and have established competition experience. This division is designed for dancers with developed technical skills who are confident competing against other experienced participants.

•Ages are based on the dancer’s age on the 1st September 2026.

•Duo, Team & Crew will be determined by the average age of the dancers on 1st September and will compete in that category age division.

•Dancers, Teams and Crews can bump up an age division but are not allowed to bump down an age division.
